The film Oscar in China tells the story of a young boy who visits China for the first time in his life. From a small town somewhere in Europe he suddenly finds himself in metropole Shanghai. Everything is new, everything is different. Everyday there is a big pirate boat passing by on the huge river. Are these real pirates? What are these pirates doing in China?

The film 'Oscar in China' has been made entire with a small digital photo camera that Cym had bought a few weeks before the trip to China. The movie-function of the camera turned out to be a nice extra feature. The feature film 'Oscar in China' was made entirely with this small, bright pink, camera. All the photos, videos and sounds were recorded with this camera.
